FX35 4dr All-wheel Drive Base | $44,300 | $40,905 |

Rear-wheel drive is standard on the FX35, and all-wheel drive is optional. The FX50 has standard all-wheel drive. Borrowing on several technologies introduced in the smaller EX35, the FX's options include an Around View Monitor system, which uses several cameras to create a bird's-eye view of the SUV's immediate surroundings. A Lane Departure Prevention system is also optional, and Infiniti's Scratch Shield paint can supposedly heal itself from minor scratches over time.
Bluetooth cell phone connectivity and a USB port with iPod interface are now standard on all models. On models without a navigation system, the Bose audio system adds a 2GB Music Box hard drive. Models with navigation gain Bluetooth streaming audio, XM NavWeather capability and the Zagat restaurant guide.
The FX's beady headlights and snout-nosed grille are at least as controversial as those elements on its predecessor — if not more so. Along the side, functional air vents reduce the FX's lift, Infiniti says. With rear-wheel drive, the FX35's front/rear weight distribution is 52/48.
- Standard bi-xenon headlights

Infiniti gave its G lineup a modest face-lift for 2010. The G37 comes as a sedan, a coupe and a folding hardtop convertible. All but the convertible can come with all-wheel drive.
The G37 sedan comes in G37 base, G37 Journey, G37x AWD and G37 Sport 6MT variants. All but the Sport 6MT employ automatic transmissions.
For 2010, Infiniti restyled the G37 sedan with a larger grille, darker headlights and more aggressive bumper inlets with dedicated fog lights. Around back, the automaker darkened the taillights and modestly reshaped the rear bumper. Xenon headlights are standard; optional adaptive headlights can swivel in the direction of a turn.
The G37's standard 17-inch alloy wheels sport a new design; 18-inch alloys come on the G37 Sport 6MT or with a Sport Package on the G37 Journey. Either Sport setup adds a few other visual tweaks. Among them are unique front bumpers and darkened headlights with integrated — rather than bumper-located — fog lights.

Interior changes will be harder to spot, as they're mostly relegated to trim pieces. Infiniti replaced last year's Washi aluminum trim with Shodo aluminum. The former was inspired by Japanese Washi paper; the latter comes from Shodo calligraphy. There's also a bit more chrome girding the center console area, and Infiniti says the optional wood trim is glossier than before.
Standard features include leather seats with eight-way power adjustments up front, single-zone automatic climate control and a six-speaker stereo with a MP3 jack. Heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a moonroof and a USB/iPod-compatible Bose stereo are optional. The optional navigation system is Infiniti's latest, with better graphics and new features including weather reports, Zagat restaurant ratings and Bluetooth streaming audio. At 13.5 cubic feet, the G37 sedan's trunk is competitive. Infiniti does not offer a folding backseat, however. That's something a few competitors — including the 3 Series and C-Class — do.
The G37 sedan's 3.7-liter V-6 makes 328 horsepower and 269 pounds-feet of torque. All but the Sport 6MT trim have a seven-speed automatic transmission; the Sport 6MT gets a six-speed manual. The G37x comes with all-wheel drive and the automatic; other trims have rear-wheel drive.
Standard safety features include active front head restraints, six airbags, antilock brakes, traction control and an electronic stability system. The optional adaptive cruise control can alert the driver, preload the brakes and tighten the seat belts if it senses rapidly decelerating traffic ahead.

G37 Coupe
Like the sedan, the G37 coupe receives similar interior updates for 2010; its exterior sports less of a face-lift than its sedan counterpart. Trim levels include the base G37 Coupe, G37 Coupe Journey, G37S Coupe Sport 6MT and G37x Coupe AWD. The Sport 6MT has a six-speed manual transmission, and all other trims have a seven-speed automatic. The G37 Coupe has the strongest V-6 in the G lineup. It makes 330 hp and 270 pounds-feet of torque.
G37 Convertible
Infiniti brought the G37 convertible to market for the 2009 model year. It uses a folding metal hardtop that deploys or stows in about 30 seconds. Trim levels include the base and Sport, with six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmissions. The convertible's 3.7-liter V-6 makes 325 hp and 267 pounds-feet of torque. High-end features include heated and cooled seats and a Bose Open Air sound system, which places speakers on each side of the front head restraints. Changes to the G37 convertible are relatively few for 2010.

2010 Infiniti M35

M35 4dr Rear-wheel Drive Sedan Base | $45,800 | $42,286 |
Destination Charge: $865 |
Infiniti's midsize sport sedan comes in M35 and M45 versions, denoting the 3.5-liter V-6 and 4.5-liter V-8, respectively, that power them. The car comes in rear- and all-wheel-drive variants, the latter called M35x and M45x.
There are no significant changes for 2010.
Infiniti promotes the M's "low, aggressive hoodline [that] flows into the anchored shoulders." The body has short overhangs and a long wheelbase. Lightweight body components include aluminum-alloy inner and outer door panels, hood and deck-lid panels. A rear spoiler is available. The optional Sport Package adds unique exterior trimmings, though it's only available on the rear-wheel-drive M35.

Infiniti's optional Lane Departure Prevention system applies individual antilock brakes to steer the car as necessary to keep it in its lane. The system uses a camera to recognize lane markings, and it calculates the vehicle's speed and distance from them. It can be switched off. There's also a Preview Braking option that scans the road ahead for potential obstructions, including rapidly slowing cars. In such situations, it pre-loads the brakes for sharper response and alerts the driver with an audio chime. Other safety features:

- Electronic stability system
- Traction control

2011 Infiniti M37
Starting MSRP | Invoice | |
M37 4dr Rear-wheel Drive Sedan Base | $46,250 | $42,701 |
Destination Charge: $865 |
Infiniti redesigned its M sedan for the 2011 model year. The 2011 M is longer, more powerful and more fuel efficient than before. The new M is available in two versions. The M37 uses a 3.7-liter V-6 and the M56 has a new 5.6-liter V-8. Respectively, the cars replace last year's M35 and M45. Both models will come with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Available in two versions, the M37 uses a 3.7-liter V-6 while the M56 has a new 5.6-liter V-8. Respectively, the cars replace last year's M35 and M45. Like before, both will come with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The 2011 M37 retains the same wheelbase but adds a couple of inches in width and less than an inch in length. Its styling combines the taller presence of the outgoing M with some of the curves seen on the current G35-turned-G37 sedan. A large front grille sits low on the front of the M. . In back, the tail rises slightly at its center. Eighteen-inch alloy wheels, dual exhaust pipes, xenon headlights and power-folding outside mirrors are standard. The rear-wheel-drive M37 offers a Sport Package, which adds 20-inch wheels, a darker grille finish, darker headlights and unique bumpers.
Like before, the M's dash falls away from the driver and that results in a spacious, open cabin. A wide panel with controls for the navigation and climate systems sits closer than before, while the transmission retains its short, leather-wrapped gearshift. Upscale available materials include a suede-like headliner, faux-leather stitched dashboard panels and wood trim with interlaced silver-powdered accents. Optional semi-aniline leather has a similar feel to a leather sofa's, Infiniti says.
Standard features include CD stereo with six speakers and USB/iPod compatibility, power front seats, leather upholstery, a moonroof, a backup camera and keyless access with push-button start. A Premium Package adds Infiniti's latest-generation navigation system, a 10-speaker Bose stereo, a heated steering wheel, and heated and cooled front seats; the package is standard on the M56. Audiophiles can choose a 16-speaker Bose surround-sound stereo, which includes speakers on both sides of each front head restraint.
The M37's 3.7-liter V-6 makes 330 horsepower and 270 pounds-feet of torque; it pairs with a seven-speed automatic transmission. A knobbed controller, dubbed Infiniti Drive, allows drivers to program drivetrain settings — including accelerator sensitivity and transmission shift points — to Standard, Eco, Sport or Snow modes. Eco mode provides accelerator resistance to the driver's right foot if it detects inefficient driving habits; it also includes a yellow-to-green gauge indicator to show how efficiently you're driving.
The Sport Package includes a sport-tuned suspension and a four-wheel steering system. The package also swaps the standard brakes for massive 14-inch front and 13.8-inch rear discs.
Standard safety features include six airbags, active front head restraints, antilock brakes, traction control and an electronic stability system. Blind spot and lane departure warning systems are optional. So is Infiniti's Lane Departure Prevention system, which employs light braking to keep the M37 from drifting into an unintended lane. New this year is an optional Blind Spot Intervention system, which attempts to keep the M in its own lane — using similar braking techniques as Lane Departure Prevention — should it detect the car moving toward traffic in the driver's blind spot. Optional adaptive headlights can swivel a few degrees in the direction of a turn. The adaptive cruise control system can warn the driver and pre load the brakes for faster response, should it detect rapidly slowing traffic ahead.

The 2011 marks the beginning of the second generation for the Infiniti QX56. The standard 5.6-liter V-8 gets direct fuel injection and now makes 400 horsepower. Thanks to a new 7-speed automatic transmission, gas mileage is reported to be increased by more than 10%. The QX comes in rear-wheel or four-wheel drive.
Slightly longer and wider, but down 3.8 inches in height, the QX carries elements similar to Infiniti's cars and crossovers. A massive grille spans the hood, dwarfing the headlights and fog lights. Above the front fenders sit three chrome portals — a styling feature Buick has made plenty of hay with. Alloy wheels measure 20 inches in diameter.
Xenon headlights are standard; swiveling adaptive headlights with power washers are optional. Power-folding side mirrors include turn-signal indicators and puddle lamps. A power tailgate is also available. Optional equipment includes 22-inch wheels that are packaged with Hydraulic Body Motion Control, which fights body roll while cornering, Infiniti says.

The redesigned interior sports more three-dimensional gauges, a four-spoke steering wheel and gathered leather inserts along the doors. An available rear entertainment system can play two video sources on separate screens.
With captain's chairs in the second row, the QX seats up to seven; a three-seat bench in the second row increases capacity to eight. The captain's chairs can tip up to facilitate third-row entry. The third row can power-fold into the floor, and it also has a power-reclining function.
Standard features include leather upholstery, power-adjustable and heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and a CD stereo with both a USB jack and Bluetooth streaming audio capabilities. Options include a Bose stereo, cooled front seats and heated rear seats.

With the addition of direct fuel injection, Infiniti's 5.6-liter V-8 now makes 400 hp and 413 pounds-feet of torque. It works with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The optional four-wheel-drive system has an on-demand automatic mode; for tougher conditions, it has an electronic transfer case with high and low modes.
Standard safety features include front, side-impact and three-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensors. Active front head restraints, antilock brakes and an electronic stability system are also standard. Adaptive cruise control, Infiniti's Around View Monitor, a blind spot warning system and a lane departure mitigation system are optional.
